The purpose of the British Society for Medical Dermatology is to promote academic and clinical interest in the practice and study of medical dermatology as well as collaboration between dermatologists and other medical specialists with the goal of improving the care of patients.
Currently membership incurs only a small charge and includes advance warning of future meetings and associated meetings, access to the mentorship and fellowship programmes as well as our regular newsletter
BSMD 2022 Trainee Award applications are now open (closing date 28th Jan 2022). Two fellowships will be awarded to UK and Eire dermatology trainees (including post CCT fellows). Each award will be funded up to a maximum value of £2500.
The BSMD has awarded a prize for the 2021 patient education video on a topic related to Medical Dermatology. Two streams of prizes were open to undergraduate medical students and foundation doctors in the UK or Ireland. Check in Fall 2022 for the next round.

The range of topics covered will bring the attendee up to date with the latest evidence for management of complex medical dermatology. The course is on hold for 2021 but check back for 2022.
